Danielle & Robert, Church of Latter Day Saints Farsley

What an amazing day it was! I got to the Church of Latter-day Saints in Farsley early since it was my first visit, the church had some truly impressive grounds!

As I was wrestling with my camera harness, trying to attach the right lenses and flash, people began to trickle in. I always rock two cameras with different lenses—because It lets me swap between them like a photography ninja. But by the end of the day, those cameras and their hefty lenses play havoc on my back.

Anyway enough moaning, as Danielle arrived in the wedding car. what a car, put it this was it wasn't no old Ford Escort.

I absolutely love capturing a few shots of the bride before she steps out of the car! This is often my first chance to see her looking absolutely stunning, unless I'm doing any getting ready shots.

So, I'd already had a chat with Robert, the groom, and he was as chill as a penguin on ice. Now that I think about it, Danielle was also cool as a cucumber. Fast forward to the ceremony, and the aisle walk is always a Kodak moment. First up were the bridesmaids, accompanied by Rocco, Danielle and Robert's son. Then came the bride, with everyone gawking at how stunning she looked, like she'd just stepped out of a fairy tale or a really fancy shampoo commercial.

Remember when I mentioned Danielle and Robert were keeping it low-key? Well, here's a pic of them sharing a cheeky laugh together.

The ceremony, whilst it's supposed to be serious, had its humour too and also a lovely reading from Robert's mum Margaret..

Once Danielle and Robert had said their vows... guess what, they were married.

Rocco zoomed over to his mum like a kid chasing an ice cream truck, and they wrapped each other in a hug so big. Talk about a proud son moment—Rocco was practically glowing!

With the beautiful ceremony wrapped up, Danielle and Robert practically skipped down the aisle as a newlywed couple. Next up was the confetti toss, followed by a photo session around the grounds.

Our time at the Church of Latter-day Saints wrapped up, and it was time to boogie on over to the reception. Someone gave us a heads-up about a traffic jam that could turn our trip into a slow-motion chase scene. Enter Google Maps, the hero of the hour!

We rolled up to the Saltaire Bar in Saltaire like we owned the place, to find the guests already there, practicing their best "surprised and delighted" faces for Danielle and Robert. Meanwhile, I was doing my best impression of a frantic octopus, juggling my camera gear back together because, let's face it, time waits for no photographer!

The sun was shining brightly, and the guests were all having an absolute blast soaking up the fantastic weather! Danielle and Robert were lounging and savoring every moment. Meanwhile, I was bustling around both inside and outside, capturing the unforgettable moments of everyone there!

Look at this little message on Danielle's nail. Lovely touch.

We snapped the usual groups and the smaller clique pics, then it was time for me, Danielle, and Robert to strike a pose. Over at the Saltaire Bar, there's a snooker room tucked away on the other side of the building. We sneaked in there to catch Danielle and Robert in action, trying to look serious while playing snooker. Spoiler: they weren't!

The speeches are that magical moment when everyone, especially the Bride and Groom, turns into a puddle of emotions. They were absolutely heartwarming. Danielle decided to grab the mic too. Sorry, Robert, I just had to snap a pic of you soaking in Danielle's sweet serenade of words!

Oh! there was laughter too.

After the speeches and the chow-down, we scampered back outside to soak up the rest of the day. Little clusters of people were lounging around, chattering away like happy squirrels. The vibe was absolutely amazing. I’m all about snapping these candid moments from afar, like a ninja with a camera, so nobody feels like they’re in the paparazzi’s spotlight. My strategy? Be sneaky, snag the pic, then pretend I’m just admiring the scenery.

Then came the evening celebrations, and what a blast they were! The music was absolutely fantastic, the kind that gets everyone on their feet and dancing the night away!

Next, it was time for Robert to dance with his mum, a wonderful sight to witness and capture. Robert's mum was incredibly proud of him. Following that, they moved directly into the first dance. The spotlight was on them, and they performed beautifully.

I've got to say, I absolutely warmed to Danielle and Robert! They shared the incredible story of how they met, which I won't spoil here, but if you see them, definitely ask about it. It's clear they were meant to be together—it's like the stars aligned just for them!

May your life together be epic. Here's to a future so bright, you'll need shades!
